November's Feature – Bloodwood
The feature for November 2007 is a new type wood for me, called Bloodwood. This hardwood comes from a tree
that grows in the Amazon region of South America. Bloodwood is red coloured like Redheart, but is reported to
have a more stable colour over time. The wood also has a beautiful shine or luster to it, which is why one of its
other common names is "Satine".
The tree is related to the Mulberry tree and is still plentiful in its region. More information of this wood can be found
in the wood information section under Bloodwood.
Thanks for viewing my web site; I would love to hear your feedback. Also, please send me any questions you may
have. You can reach me through the contact-me page.
