December's Feature – Laser Engraving
The feature for December 2007 is a new option to add onto a pen or other wood item, laser engraving. This
process uses a CNC laser to burn sections of the wood to cut letters or images into the wood. The picture above
shows a Christian Cross engraved onto a Beech European style twist pen. I now carry this pen in my sample case.
The equipment to do this engraving is rather expensive. I have found a local engraver to do this work for me. He has
engraved names onto several pens for me and done this simple cross image too. The process is able to cut
complex images as well. The engraving is being done for me by Todd Williams of Pottageville, Ontario. Todd
operates the company Laser Engraveables in this village just west of Aurora in the Aurora Road-Highway 400 area.
Todd engraves many materials: glass, metal, and wood to name a few. If you would like to contact Todd,
contact me
and I will e-mail you his contact information.
Adding engraving does add cost to a wood pen, but it can add a personal touch to an item, or it can add a business
logo and/or business name to promote your organization. If you would like to get more information on laser
engraving, just
click here for a no obligations quote.

Thanks for viewing my web site; I would love to hear your feedback. Also, please send me any questions or
comments you may have. You can reach me through the
