For November, I am featuring a cherry desk pen. The wood is Black
Cherry, a North American Hardwood with hints of red and black in
the wood colour.
The pen is # 120 and is shown in the images below. Click on the
thumbnail to open a larger image in a new window.
A desk pen is always ready to write since the pen cartridge does not
retract. I keep an oak desk pen in a stand on my desk. It is handy to
have a pen ready to go when the phone rings or when you want to jot
something down quickly.
This pen has a series or round ares called beads. They are formed
by rotating the hand chisels to create the round shapes. The three
wood beads are meant to mimic the three smaller beads in the gold
plated tip.
Thew wood for this pen came from a tree in Tottenham, Ontario,
Canada.
